Welcome all Ladies to the Biking & Hiking Belles UK

- Chichester and District Ladies Cycling Club, incorporating Charity Belles

The Club was formed on August 21, 2010.

Biking Belles: developing the wellbeing, fitness and confidence in ourselves. A club for women by women.

We meet every Saturday for road bike rides and most Sundays for Mtb rides - Muddy Belles section of the club. The rides vary in degrees of difficulty and details of the rides are posted well in advance here on the website and on the Belles's forum (www.bikingbelles.co.uk/forum). We always stop halfway for that important cuppa and a slice of cake! We normally offer longer/harder rides and easier rides on the day - splitting along the route.

During the spring and summer months we usually meet at 6pm on a Wednesday and Thursday evening for our 'Lumpy Loop' rides. Normally meeting in Lavant and cycle our loop in and around the Chilgrove / West Dean areas. A great way to maintain your fitness during the week days. These sessions are short and sharp, non stop rides.

Please note: Cycling is a sport where accidents can happen and The Biking Belles will not be held responsible or liable for any accidents or injuries which might occur while cycling with the Club. You cycle with us at your own risk.

To enjoy our rides you should be fit enough to cycle at least 20 miles.

It's been a very exciting few years and we have fulfilled our original aim to introduce more ladies to cycling, improve our fitness and to make new friends.....and to work towards and achieve those once impossible goals. We want to make a difference to women's cycling.

The BBs have grown and has become an exciting Club to be involved with, in 2012 we formed the Charity Belles which is our fundraising section. We are proud to have as our patron the Countess of March and Kinrara, Goodwood House, Goodwood, West Sussex.

Charity Belles is an important part of the club as we feel it is important to help those well deserving charities which may not receive the publicity they deserve for whatever reason. Please visit our Charity Belles page for full details. We are proud to have raised over £3,000 since the club was formed.

In 2017 the Club's chosen charity will be canine Partners who are located near Midhurst, West Sussex - www.caninepartners.org.uk

Our social section - Social Belles, meet on the last Friday of each month for a pub supper. An ideal opportunity for anyone interested in joining the BBs to come along and meet us all. It's also a chance for existing BBs to discuss future ideas and plans. However during the spring and summer months we go for a cycle followed by a pub supper.

We welcome new members and details on how to join can be found in our membership page.

I hope you enjoy being part of the BB's and that we form a long and happy cycling friendship!

Why not visit our Forum, just register at: www.bikingbelles.co.uk/forum - Once you are a member of the BBs you will have full access to the forum. We also have a Social Belles membership available, just send me an email for the details.

Happy and safe cycling!
